ROSE WATER || LAVENDER || CUCUMBER || COCONUT WATER || UNSCENTED
Happy Wednesday love bugs! I have been a little off the grid, trying to recharge after a long festive weekend. But I hope ya’ll had an amazing 4th of July weekend too!
Anyways I wanted to dive right into this uh-mazing product. If you have not already heard about it, well girl let me be the first to tell you! I cannot say enough great things about this product, simply because it is affordable and all natural. I didn’t realize how much I needed it in my life, ya know?
Usually I am pretty simple when it comes to beauty products, and by simple I mean simple. I use a gel face wash, some moisturizer with spf 50 and I’m good to go. Yeah, I know, I know…I’m getting closer to my 30s, and I should probably start thinking about night creams and all that good stuff. So before I even go any further with the night creams, and the serums, I decided to give this Thayers facial toner a try. I’ve heard so many positive things about this simple, inexpensive, all-natural toner.
Thayers has been around since 1847, say whaaa?? and I’m just now giving it a try, ha! Ok, so it is alcohol free, paraben-free, and cruelty free, yeah all of that goodness in just one bottle! Before I buy anything I like to try it out with a travel size. So I purchased the travel size which is 3 fl ounces, and I am almost out, so now I know that I need the regular sized one for everyday uses.
Now, let me tell you about the ingredients and what this product is suppose to do. Witch hazel has been around for years and it is known as an anti-inflammatory. If you happen to have breakouts or redness it is suppose to help sooth and calm those areas. If you’re familiar with Aloe vera you know it helps heal any wounds or in this case, those stubborn unwanted little breakouts. The rose water protects the skin surface against the UV rays from the sun, and adds the moisture back into your skin without making it feel oily. It is even known to help skin conditions like rosacea and eczema.
All of these active ingredients help deep clean your face, while protecting it and soothing it. The way I like to apply this toner is, after washing my face with a gel cleanser. I pat dry my face and with a cotton pad I add about a dime size amount to the pad, and gently press it in all over my face. I don’t like to rub it in but the cotton pad is gentle enough to rub around the forehead and chin area.
The first few times I used it I noticed an immediate glow to my face, and I assumed it was the moisture that was added back into my skin. It’s like my face drank a whole gallon of water. I also noticed how much makeup residue would still appear on the cotton pad after I washing my face. I realized I wasn’t getting all of the makeup completely off, but with this toner I can be sure that it is all gone!
So, would I recommend this to everyone? Absolutely. there is nothing harmful about this, it will actually benefit you! I love it and I love the rose water scent too. If you have super sensitive skin, you could also try the unscented one. They also have a face mist, and I think I may have to give that a try too. If you give it a try, let me know! I’d love to know your input on this beauty product.
with much love,
