Can I just begin by saying that I’m a sucker for a good foundation. I mean I know that so are you, but when you find the one, it’s like you’re in love and you look forward to applying it. It’s just that good! My skin type is combination, oily in the T zone and my cheek area is normal to dry sometimes. So these foundations have honestly worked for me and I can’t tell you how amazing they are until you give it a try.
When I want to that super young, radiant and dewy skin, I choose my Makeup forever HD foundation. I use the shade Y385, it’s definitely the closest to my skin complexion that I’ve ever been. Normally when I tried foundations, they were the right shade but after it oxidized it would have a very peachy undertone. So that is why I love love love this foundation, it is the perfect shade when I am tan. My shade has the perfect olive undertone without being too yellow. It’s a little bit more liquidity than the Giorgio Armani one. Generally I use a pump and a half and it covers all over my face. I usually apply it with a makeup brush and then with a damp beauty blender I pounce it on my face to smooth out any harsh brush strokes left behind.
The Giorgio Armani luminous silk foundation is by far the silkiest, smoothest foundation I’ve tried. It has a subtle scent but it’s not too overpowering. I also have another blog post about my favorites and this one also made it onto my post, which you can read here. But I truly love the way this foundation looks and wears through the entire day. It’s so smooth and radiant but without giving you that oily skin effect. This shade is slightly lighter but I bronze it up to warm it up. I apply it the same way I apply the Makeup Forever HD Foundation and it seems to work for me. I use the shade 7.5 in this foundation.
If you decide to give any of these a try I’d love to know your input! If you have already tried it, let me know what your thoughts.
