As many of you may know, I’m a hair stylist and when I worked full time at a salon I had to wear all black. Working at a salon meant that you wore black from head to toe and oh boy was I soooooo over wearing black! Ya know? I was serious when I mean I was over it, so you know what I did? I got rid of every single black item I owned! Then I was like wait a minute? I think I need a black dress, maybe some black slacks too. So here I go, looking for the perfect little black dress, that is simple, tailored and flattering. When you find a simple and comfortable black dress you NEED to get it! It will definitely come in handy for those “I don’t know what to wear” kind of days. I can literally wear this dress for date night, work, church, meetings, interviews, pretty much for every occasion. There’s so many possibilities with a good black dress.
What I look for when it comes to choosing the right dress is always making sure that it has a tailored look. I love dresses that fit right above the knee and hug right at waist. As far as sleeves or sleeveless, it’s pretty much preference but since it’s soooo hot in Houston majority of the time I got with sleeveless. If you happen to be somewhere that is pretty chilly, consider wearing a cardigan or a blazer to dress it up. Honestly the possibilities are endless with a good little black dress!
